Robert Schade (born March 3, 1850 in Neubrandenburg ; † March 19, 1916 in Eutin ) was a German master goldsmith and councilor in Eutin, who became known for his activities for numerous social institutions and the organization of fire services in the Principality of Lübeck .

Life

Robert Schade was born in Neubrandenburg in 1850 as the son of a master mason , grew up in modest circumstances and learned the goldsmith's trade , in which he became a master .

He settled as a goldsmith in Eutin in the Principality of Lübeck , where he married Emmy Christine Elise Braasch in 1877 .

From 1895 he was councilor in Eutin - in this position he initiated the establishment of a dining establishment for needy Eutin citizens, a community home ( old people's home ), a kindergarten , the expansion and renovation of the Eutin hospital that from 1903 (with the funds from a Donation) was fundamentally renewed (and developed into the Eutin district hospital ) as well as the establishment of a training institute for construction workers .

He was chairman of the voluntary fire brigade in Eutin and fire brigade inspector of the Principality of Lübeck - in this position he succeeded in merging the fire brigades of the Principality of Lübeck into a unified association of fire and rescue services - which he brought up to date as the association's chairman.

He was a member of the committee for the construction of the Kaiser Wilhelm Tower in Eutin .

Robert Schade died in Eutin in 1916.
