Robert Seegmüller

Robert Seegmüller (* 1969 in Bad Harzburg ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Administrative Court .

Career

Robert Seegmüller studied after high school at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich Law . During his legal clerkship, he worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Social Law with Bernd Baron von Maydell . In 1995 he received his doctorate there on the legal status of the full-time executive board of statutory health insurance companies . From March 1996 to February 1999 he worked as a research assistant at the Federal Constitutional Court in Udo Steiner's department . He then joined the judicial service of the state of Berlin. There he was initially assigned to a civil division of the Berlin Regional Court .

In December 1999 Seegmüller transferred to the Berlin Administrative Court, where he was appointed judge at the Administrative Court in October 2001. From December 2007 to December 2010 he was seconded to the Office of the Federal President in the Constitution and Law, Legal Department and in July 2012 he was appointed presiding judge at the Administrative Court. On October 2, 2015, he was appointed judge at the Federal Administrative Court. He is a member of the 8th Audit Senate, which is responsible, among other things, for commercial administrative law, local law and property law. Robert Seegmüller has also been Vice President of the Constitutional Court of the State of Berlin since July 2014 .

Professional engagement

In addition to his professional activity, Seegmüller has been chairman of the Federation of German Administrative Judges and the German Administrative Court Conference since 2015 .

Party political engagement

Seegmüller is a member of the CDU . He heads the Berlin State Working Group for Christian Democratic Lawyers and is a member of the board of the Federal Working Group for Christian Democratic Lawyers .
