Robert Spielvogel

Robert "Bert" Spielvogel (born December 3, 1911 in Nampa , Idaho , USA; † June 12, 2013 in Meridian (Idaho), USA) was an American avant-garde cameraman , film director and documentary filmmaker .

Spielvogel made numerous documentaries as a cameraman and author. His documentary on UFOs from 1956 (" Unidentified Flying Objects: The True Story of Flying Saucers ") and films for US traffic education, which are still classics of the genre today, are particularly well-known . Among other things, he made documentaries about contemporary art with the American art dealer , gallery owner and actress Holly Solomon (1934–2002).

Bert Spielvogel and Holly Solomon participated in Documenta 5 in Kassel in 1972 with the film “ 98.5 ” in the Individual Mythologies : Film department.
