Robert Zepf

Robert Zepf (born May 28, 1968 in Stuttgart-Degerloch ) is a German librarian. Zepf is president of the international group Bibliotheca Baltica .

Life

Robert Zepf attended the ancient-language-humanistic Karls-Gymnasium in Stuttgart. After graduating from high school, he studied history, English and educational science at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg . In 1990/1991 he obtained a Master of Studies (M. St.) degree in Modern British History from St. Antony's College Oxford .

The library traineeship, which he completed from 1999 to 2001 at the Berlin State Library with an elective position at the German National Library in Frankfurt am Main and Leipzig and at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences , he completed with a career examination for higher library service. From 2003 to 2010 he headed the scientific service at the Berlin State Library. In 2010 he became director of the Rostock University Library . On September 1, 2019, he took over the management of the Hamburg State and University Library .
