Robert von Heusinger

Robert von Heusinger (born August 19, 1967 in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe ) is a German journalist and economist.

Life

After graduating from the Bischof-Neumann-Schule in Königstein im Taunus, Heusinger studied economics at the Saarland University and spent a year in Aix-en-Provence . Since December 2013 he has been editor-in-chief of the DuMont editorial community, a joint subsidiary of the subscription newspapers of the M. DuMont Schauberg media group . The editorial community offers daily reports, analyzes and reports on nationally relevant topics from politics, society and the economy. In addition to the three internal subscription titles Berliner Zeitung , Kölner Stadtanzeiger and Mitteldeutsche Zeitung, the Frankfurter Rundschau is one of the buyers of the texts as an external customer . Before that, Heusinger was deputy editor-in-chief of the editorial group (03/2010 to 11/2013), the Berliner Zeitung (08/2012 to 11/2013) and the Frankfurter Rundschau (08/2012 to 05/2013). Before moving to Berlin, Heusinger headed the economic department of the Frankfurter Rundschau from 2007 to 2010, after having worked for six years as a financial market correspondent for the weekly newspaper Die Zeit in Frankfurt. He received his training in business journalism at the Börsen-Zeitung , where, after a short traineeship, he first became an editor in the capital markets department and later became head of the stock exchange and capital markets department .

At the end of 2005, Heusinger initiated the “Herdentrieb”, a blog in which he and other authors deal with the rules of the game of financial markets and capitalism in general.

On September 1, 2014, Heusinger became a director of the Cologne newspaper company M. DuMont Schauberg . At the end of 2015 he left the DuMont company. Since May 1, 2016, he has been Head of Corporate Communications at HSBC in Germany.
