Robert von Ludwig (born November 3, 1821 in Neuwaltersdorf , Habelschwerdt district ; † January 12, 1884 ibid) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Von Ludwig attended the Matthias Gymnasium in Breslau . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University and the Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University . In 1842 he became active in Corps Silesia and Corps Borussia Bonn . After successfully completing his studies, he worked as a trainee lawyer in the administration of justice and internal administration in Prussia. He then did not pursue a legal profession, but managed his estate in Neuwaltersdorf .

Von Ludwig was elected to the Reichstag (German Empire) in 1874 and re-elected three times. In the first three electoral terms (from 1874 to 1881), von Ludwig was an old conservative intern in the faction of the Center Party. From around 1880 he was no longer a member of any parliamentary group. From 1877 to 1884 he was a member of the constituency of Breslau 8 (Neurode, Glatz, Habelschwerdt) in the Prussian House of Representatives . In 1877 he belonged to the faction of the center. After that he was non-attached, although from 1882 he was affiliated with the center as an old conservative in all Catholic matters.
