Robin Daryl Amaize (born January 31, 1994 ) is a German basketball player on the position of construction and wing player. He measures 1.96 meters and is under contract with Bundesliga club FC Bayern Munich .

Player career

Amaize comes from Giessen , where he played as a youth in the junior division of MTV 1846 Giessen and later in the men's team of the club (2nd regional league). He was also used in the youth basketball league for the Giessen 46ers . During the 2012/13 season he made his debut for the Giessen club in the basketball league .

For the 2013/14 season Amaize moved to Braunschweig, where he received a double license to be used in the Bundesliga and for the team of the cooperation partner Spot Up Medien Baskets Braunschweig in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . He came to first division appearances for Braunschweig but only in his third year in Lower Saxony (2015/16), when he completed 21 BBL games and thanks to a double license for MTV Wolfenbüttel from 2012 Herzöge Basketball eV in the ProB, after the Braunschweig team had been deregistered from the ProB.

In June 2016 Amaize signed a three-year contract with Bundesliga club Medi Bayreuth . In his first year in Bayreuth, he played in 30 Bundesliga games and scored an average of 6.2 points per game. In 2017/18 he was able to increase his statistical values ​​and came to an average of 6.7 points in 34 Bundesliga games. In July 2018 Amaize moved to the German champions FC Bayern Munich . There he signed a three-year contract. With FCB he became German champions in the 2018/19 season. In the run-up to the 2019/20 season, Amaize switched from Munich as a loan player for one year to Bundesliga competitor EWE Baskets Oldenburg and returned to Munich for the 2020/21 season.

National team

In July 2016, he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time , having previously been a member of the A2 selection of the German Basketball Federation . In August 2017 he took part in the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei with the German national student  team.
