Robinson Ridge is a rocky peninsula on the Budd coast of Wilkesland East Antarctica . It separates Sparkes Bay from Penney Bay on the east flank of the Windmill Islands .
It was first mapped using aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy in 1947 and 1948 during Operation Highjump and Operation Windmill . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1956 after Frederick G. Robinson, flight officer in the US Navy with Operation Windmill, who was involved in the establishment of astronomical observation stations in the area in January 1948.
