Roderick Rodney Camphor (born March 10, 1992 in Baltimore ) is an American basketball player who has been under contract with Krka Novo Mesto in Slovenia since 2020 .

career

Born in Baltimore in the US state of Maryland , the camphor left his hometown after high school and went to Highland Community College (US state Kansas ). With the university team there, he competed in the NJCAA, the league of two-year universities. In 2012, he moved to Southwestern Oklahoma State University ( NCAA Division 2). In his final 2013/14 season, Camphor was the team's best point collector with an average of 17.7.

He made the leap into professional business and played for the Lithuanian first division club Nevezis Kedainiai during the 2014/15 season . In December 2015 Camphor signed a contract with Bayer Leverkusen and achieved averages of 15.5 points, 3.9 assists and 3.3 rebounds for the Rhinelander in 16 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . Leverkusen missed relegation in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA this season.

Camphor continued his professional career in Hungary, where he played briefly for the first division club KTE-Duna Aszfalt at the beginning of the 2016/17 season before he returned to Germany in November 2016 and in the jersey of the Hamburg Towers as in the Leverkusen times in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA ran up. By the end of the 2016/17 season he wore the Hanseatic jersey in 19 league games and averaged 14.1 points per game. He also prepared an average of 3.5 basket hits for his teammates and secured 3.2 rebounds.

In summer 2017 he was signed by the Belgian first division club Leuven Bears . He made nine league appearances for Leuven and scored an average of 8.4 points before moving to the Polish first division club Turów Zgorzelec in early December 2017 . During the summer break of 2018 he was signed by the Greek first division club GS Kymis. In 2019/20 he scored 16.4 points per game for the Polish club Rosa Radom , and Krka Novo Mesto (Slovenia) secured the service of the American during the 2020 summer break .
