Max Leon Windscheid (born December 8, 1988 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German entrepreneur .

Life

Windscheid was born as the son of a teacher couple in the Bergisch Gladbach district of Bensberg and grew up in Solingen , where he attended Vogelsang grammar school and graduated from high school in 2008 . He then studied psychology at the University of Münster and graduated with a master's degree in 2014 . From 2015 to 2017, Windscheid did his doctorate at the University of Witten / Herdecke in the field of economics on the topics of gender diversity in companies and women in top management positions. In 2007 he started his own business as an event manager.

Windscheid received a lot of media attention when he was the eleventh candidate for Wer wird Millionär? won the main prize of one million euros. He had participated in three episodes of the program. Windscheid described to the moderator Günther Jauch how he had prepared himself for the excitement in the studio with the methods of psychology . In the second episode, Windscheid gave Jauch the promise to buy a ship with the profit and to name it after the moderator. Jauch then agreed to take over the christening of the ship as godfather . In 2016, Jauch kept his promise and since then Windscheid has been operating the MS Günther as an event and cultural location .

In his first book, The Secret of the Psyche - How to Win a Million with Günther Jauch and Other Ways to Keep Your Nerve , Windscheid describes everyday psychological phenomena and his preparation for the TV show. Windscheid is the first ambassador for young medium -sized companies of the Federal Association of Medium-Sized Enterprises . As a keynote speaker, he regularly gives lectures on scientific and psychological topics in companies, universities and schools. In autumn 2018, Windscheid's first stage program, Altes Hirn, neue Welt - Psychologie live, started .

In January 2019, Windscheid was, alongside Horst Veith , Rolf Claessen and Fränzi Kühne, on the jury of the daily Sat.1 inventor show How brilliant is that ?! to see.

Windscheid regularly publishes two podcasts on the subject of psychology. In the podcast In Extreme Heads , Windscheid meets people who rob banks, try to starve themselves to death, shoot others in the face or have to live in captivity for years. Among other things, he talks to Natascha Kampusch about cyber-bullying and the hatred that Kampusch experiences to this day after her kidnapping. Mathias Grasel , Beate Zschäpe's lawyer in the NSU trial , speaks in Windscheid's podcast for the first time about numerous details from the court proceedings and his collaboration with Zschäpe. Together with the comedian Atze Schröder , Windscheid publishes the Podcast Betreutes Feeling .

Along with Jan Stroh and Ronald Tenholte, Windscheid is one of the three million winners in the series Wer wird Millionär? which, in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, are replacing the previous “additional joker ” as the “millionaire joker ”.
