Rodolfo Amprino
Rodolfo Amprino (born January 5, 1912 in Turin ; † August 21, 2007 there ) was an Italian physician, human anatomist and anthropologist .
life and work
1938-1939 worked Amprino means of a scholarship of the Rockefeller Foundation at the Laboratory of Embryology of the University of Chicago in PA and white. In 1949 he worked at the Laboratoire d'Embryologie expérimentale in Strasbourg with E. Wolff. From 1945 to 1953 he worked as an assistant for human anatomy at the University of Turin . From 1955 to 1982 he was professor of human anatomy at the University of Bari . He dealt scientifically with the formation and regeneration of bone structures.
Amprino wrote the chapter "Biological bases of the radioisotope investigation of the skeleton" in the manual of medical radiology published by L. Diethelm and others (Berlin, 1970, pages 784-847).
Amprino had been a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina since 1971 and a member of the Italian Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei since 1973 . In 2005 Amprino was honored with the Grand Cross of the Republic of Italy. Amprino was among other things an honorary doctorate from the University of Montpellier.
