Rodrigo Cubilla , full name Rodrigo Martin Cubilla Grub , (* 14. June 1986 in Montevideo ) is an Uruguayan footballer .
Career
society
The 1.85 meter tall offensive player Cubilla is the grandson of Luis Cubilla . In 2003 he was a member of the youth department of Club Atlético Peñarol . From 2006 to the end of 2007 he played for Peñarol's reserve team (Formativas) and came in the 2006/07 season to a use (no goal) in the Primera División . Coach Gregorio Pérez helped him to make this first division debut in October 2006 when he replaced him for Diego Morena , who as the son of Fernando Morena also has important ancestors in Uruguayan football. In the Clausura 2008 he was under contract with Central Español and played five first division games (no goal). Then he was active in the Apertura 2008 at the second division Durazno FC . In 2009 he played for Peñarol La Mesilla in Guatemala . From there he moved to Juventud Retalteca within the country in 2010 . From the beginning of 2011 to mid-August 2011 he was a player at Deportivo Petapa . This was followed by seven first division appearances for the Rampla Juniors in Apertura 2011 , in which he scored a goal. At the turn of 2011/12 he joined the Colombian club Patriotas Boyacá on. For the team of the club from Tunja he scored one goal in eight appearances in Primera A and scored twice in four Copa Colombia games . In mid-June 2012, he worked for the Antigua GFC until the end of June 2013 . In the second half of 2013 he was in the ranks of Cobán Imperial . He has played for Aurora FC since July 2014 . From there he moved to the Comunicaciones Fútbol Club on June 11, 2015 . He has been playing for CD Chalatenango since July 2016 and has played six league games (three goals) at the El Salvador club so far (as of September 10, 2016).
National team
Cubilla was part of the U-17 team of Uruguay , trained by Jorge Da Silva , who took part in the U-17 South American Championship in 2003 in Bolivia .
