Rofo is a group from Belgium and was founded in 1982 by Ronny Verrept and Fonny De Wulff. The first two letters of the respective first name result in the group name RoFo . The music, which is mainly produced electronically with a synthesizer , places Rofo in the field of Synthdance and Italo Disco . Since its inception, some more or less successful tracks and two albums have been released on various record labels .

Their first title Watch Out , Here They Come and Flashlight on a Disco Night produced the then newcomer with Peter Vriends ( vocals ) and producer Ray "Flash Light" Muylle in their own then-8- tracks -Studio. After the worldwide success with the latter title, Verrept and Vriends left the group.

In 1985 Rofo released the single I Want You with the new singer John Sauli. In 1987 Beach Love , composed and produced by Rob van Eijk and Michiel van der Kuy (co-producers of Koto and Laserdance ), was launched. This was followed by the first publication of the very successful title Rofo's Theme and in early 1988 the first album Rofo , named after the group. In the same year The Album was revised again and topped up with new mixes and songs. The slightly refreshed single Rofo's Theme (Let's Go) was also released. In 1990 Rofo released Rofo's Theme 2 . After that there were some remixes and remakes . In 1997, another new edition of the successful Rofo's Theme was published . In 2015 another single came out with the two new titles "Face It" (produced by Eddi Mi Rami) and "Summer Love" (produced by Michiel van der Kuy). Both titles are sung by John Sauli again.

  • In 1995 the group Q-Club Rofos released the title Rofo's Theme in the '95 Euro House versions on a 12inch vinyl record on the label Dance Street Records .
  • In 1996 Ultimate Buzz featuring Mc Bee released Rofo's theme as a techno and gabber variant. In 1997 remixes followed .
  • In 1998 Rofo's Theme was released again on the label ZYX Music together with the group Cyber ​​People and their title Void Vision in a limited 12inch edition.
  • In February 2007, a new variant came onto the market via the ZYX label from the Back in Time group.
  • Rofo's theme was the theme music for the ZDF children's show Querkopf from 1991 to 1995. As well as for the first season of the Tele-Gym series from Bayerischer Rundfunk.
