Gaúcho , real name Rogério Márcio Botelho (born September 28, 1979 in Parenense ), is a Brazilian football player .

Gaúcho played in his youth for SE Matsubara from Cambará in the state of Paraná . In 1997 he moved to São Paulo to the Clube Atlético Juventus . After one season he was signed by the Spanish RCD Mallorca , where he was active for two years.

He then returned to Brazil and played for Santos FC . For the 2001/02 season he was obliged by Levski Sofia , after only half a year he changed club again and from then on played in the Russian league for Krylya Sovetov Samara . After a year and a half in Russia, he returned to Brazil in mid-2003 and played six months for SC Internacional in Porto Alegre . His next stop was União Barbarense from Santa Bárbara d'Oeste from 2004 to mid-2005 .

For the 2005/06 season he was loaned to Sigma Olomouc , at the end of January 2006 he switched to Slavia Prague on loan , where he signed a three-year contract in the summer of 2006. At Slavia Gaúcho initially played regularly, in the 2007/08 season he is mostly only a substitute.

In February 2008 Gaúcho moved to the Slovak first division club FC Senec .
