Hans von Meibom

Hans Christian Ludwig von Meibom (born July 11, 1879 in Hanover , † November 18, 1960 in Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer in the province of Posen .

Life

Hans von Meibom studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg from 1898 and became a member of the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg . After the first state examination, he was a trainee lawyer at the Higher Regional Court in Celle . After the assessor examination at the Chamber Court, he switched from the administration of justice to the internal administration of the Kingdom of Prussia . As a government assessor , he came to the Gnesen District Office in 1906 .

In 1908 he was appointed general director of the Prussian settlement commission in Poznan . In 1914 he became district administrator of the Meseritz district , which after the Treaty of Versailles belonged to the Posen-West Prussia border region . From 1921 to 1933 Meibom was a member of the Prussian State Council , from 1930 as 2nd Vice President. From 1922 to 1933 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Posen-West Prussia border region . From 1929 to 1933 he was also a member of the board of directors of the German District Association . In January 1933 he was appointed as the successor of Friedrich von Bülow as provisional chief president of the border region Posen-West Prussia, based in Schneidemühl . After the election victory of the National Socialist German Workers' Party in the Reichstag election in March 1933 , he was retired early in 1934 at the age of 55 .

Meibom was a member of the DNVP and master of the lawless society in Berlin .
