Roger Clark (born July 14, 1978 in New Jersey ) is an Irish - American actor and voice actor , best known for his portrayal of the outlaw protagonist Arthur Morgan in the video game Red Dead Redemption 2 . He was the voice actor and motion capture artist for Arthur Morgan and received several awards for the role.

biography

Clark was born in the US state of New Jersey to parents of Irish descent and grew up there until he was 12 years old, after which, after his father's retirement, the family moved to Ireland to the city of Sligo . As a child, he loved to dance and even won a dance competition. He attended the University of Glamorgan in Wales ' capital Cardiff , where he received his bachelor's degree in theater, media and drama. Since then he has played mostly small supporting roles in TV series but also larger roles in the theater, including working for the American Drama Group, which is headquartered in Munich , with which he toured all of Germany and 45 other countries.

With his role as Arthur Morgan for the western video game Red Dead Redemption 2 , he suddenly gained international fame, and for his dubbing he has received numerous praise and awards. He had played the game Red Dead Redemption himself and was therefore already familiar with the history of the game.

He now lives in New York City , is married and has two children.
