Roger Vidosa Riba (born February 29, 1984 in La Massana ) is an alpine skier from Andorra . His strengths lie in the technical disciplines of giant slalom and slalom , but he also drives downhill and super-G .

biography

Vidosa mainly competes in FIS races and has been active in the European Cup since 2004 . To date, he has won seven FIS races, but was only twice in the top 30 of the top 30 (28th place in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen slalom on February 28, 2008 and 27th place in the Formigal slalom on March 16, 2011). In the World Cup Vidosa rarely starts for the first time in 2007 in the departure of Val d'Isere . At the end of 2008 , also in Val-d'Isère, he achieved 22nd place in the super combination on the World Cup slope La face de Bellevarde and thus his only place in the World Cup points. After Alex Antor, he is only the second Andorran to win World Cup points.

Roger Vidosa took part in three world championships ( Bormio 2005 , Åre 2007 and 2011 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) and represented Andorra at the Olympic Games in Turin 2006 and Vancouver 2010 . His best World Cup placements are two 28th places in the super combinations in 2007 and 2011, and his best Olympic result is a 25th place in the super combination in 2010.
