It flows in an easterly direction, its main direction of flow, which it essentially maintains up to the mouth, and passes Hausen am Bach. When it reaches the Württemberg-Bavarian border, it flows into the right upper reaches from the southwest about 0.9 km before the confluence of the Rohrbach called the Rohrbach . Shortly afterwards it is fed by the Egelsbach coming from the northwest . The Rohrbach finally flows into the Tauber from the left about 300 meters north of the Wilhelmsmühle von Insingen on the riverbank .
