On February 26, 2016, the village became part of the newly founded rural community Piskiw (Пісківська сільська громада / Piskiwska silska hromada ), until then the village belonged to the Piskiw district council.
The village to the north of the city of Kostopil is completely surrounded by forest and lies on the Rivne – Luninez railway line .
While it was previously in the Volhynia Governorate in the Russian Empire , after the First World War it came to Poland in 1921 and was located in the Gmina Kostopil, in 1939 the village was incorporated into the Soviet Union .
