Roland Hilti

Roland Hilti (born October 2, 1963 ) is a Liechtenstein teacher and athlete.

Hilti attended the Liechtenstein grammar school in Vaduz and graduated from there in 1983. He then studied history, German, geography and sports at the University of Zurich . Since 1989 he has been teaching at the Liechtenstein Gymnasium. Since August 2008 he has been a Vice Rector of the school management.

In 2007 he was elected to the Ruggell municipal council for the Fatherland Union (VU) and was a member of it for four years until 2011. He was unable to defend his mandate in the 2011 municipal council elections.

Hilti is married and has three children. From 1995 to 2007 Hilti was a member of the foundation board of the Liechtenstein National Museum .

Athletic career

From 1979 to 2000 Hilti was active as a football player. He played in the 1st team of FC Schaan and for two years with USV Eschen-Mauren . In the 1990s he played for the Liechtenstein national team for several years . From 1990 to 1998 he also worked as a trainer in the U 12 and U 18 area at the Liechtenstein Football Association.

In addition to football, Hilti has been a member of the first team of the Badminton Club Vaduz since the late 1980s. At the Liechtenstein championships , he was twice national champion in men's singles and five times in men's doubles.
