Rolf Gustav Haebler

Rolf Gustav Haebler (born February 11, 1888 in Lichtental (Baden-Baden) , † April 11, 1974 in Baden-Baden ) was a German politician, local researcher and writer.

Live and act

From 1905 Rolf Gustav Haebler worked as an editor and freelance journalist . From 1908 he worked as a teacher. In 1918 he founded the working group of social democratic teachers in Baden and was a co-founder of the Association of Religious Socialists in Baden. From 1923 he was a member of the state parliament of the Republic of Baden . In 1933 he was dismissed from school by the National Socialists , in 1941 he was “ banned from writing” and in 1944 the Gestapo fetched him . From 1956 Haebler was a city councilor in Baden-Baden, succeeding his wife Olga Haebler.

According to his own statements, he was a descendant of the entrepreneur Franz Anton Dürr .
