Rolf Rau
Rolf Rau (born September 20, 1944 in Zweenfurth ) is a former German politician ( CDU ).
After he was able to attain the secondary school leaving certificate at the general education polytechnic school in Borsdorf , Rau completed an apprenticeship as a skilled structural engineer at the Leipzig construction union, which he completed with the Abitur. At the School of Civil Engineering in Leipzig he made the conclusion than 1,967 civil engineer . He then worked for three years as a site manager in the Leipzig housing association.
In 1976 Rau joined the CDU . In 1989 he became district chairman of the CDU Leipzig. In the People's Chamber election in 1990 , he succeeded in moving into the People's Chamber , which sat until it was dissolved. On October 3, he became a member of the German Bundestag . In the federal elections in 1990 and 1994 he was able to confirm his mandate, both times he represented the constituency of Leipzig-Land - Borna - Geithain as a directly elected member of parliament.
