Rolf Stünkel

Rolf Stünkel (* 1954 in Hildesheim ) is a German writer , photographer and former combat and traffic pilot .

biography

After graduating from high school in 1972, Stünkel went to the Navy and, among other things, completed an apprenticeship as a lieutenant at sea on the training ship Gorch Fock . He then applied for the flying personnel of the Navy and became a starfighter and tornado pilot . In 1989 he moved to Lufthansa , for which he worked as a commercial pilot until March 2019. Rolf Stünkel has recorded more than 23,000 flight hours in his flight logs. In addition, Stünkel works as an aviation author, photographer, editor and translator and supervises seminars for relaxed flying. Rolf Stünkel is also an avid jazz musician in his spare time.

Stünkel is the father of seven children and lives with his wife in Weyhe near Bremen .
