Rolf Watter
Rolf Watter (born March 8, 1958 in Zurich ) is a Swiss lawyer and legal scholar .
Life
Watter studied at the University of Zurich , where he received his doctorate in 1985 . After he was admitted to the bar in 1986, he received an LL.M. from Georgetown University in 1988 . In 1990 he completed his habilitation at the University of Zurich, where he has been adjunct professor since 1996 .
Rolf Watter is co-editor of the Basel Commentaries on the Code of Obligations II, the Merger Act, FINMAG and FinfraG as well as the journal corporate and capital market law.
He has been a partner in the law firm Bär & Karrer in Zurich since 1994. Watter is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of PostFinance AG and a member of the Board of Directors at Aryzta and Faber-Castell . Before that, he held board memberships at Ceva Logistics , Nobel Biocare , Cablecom , Zurich Insurance Group , Syngenta , Forbo and Feldschlösschen Getränke , among others .
