Détraz started in Zweisimmen in January 2010 for the first time in the European Cup. At the Junior World Championships he finished 15th in 2012, 28th in 2013 and 18th in 2014. In the 2015/16 season he finished in the top ten seven times in the European Cup, including two podiums. With this he reached fifth place in the ski cross discipline ranking at the end of the season. He made his debut in the Freestyle World Cup on December 5, 2015 in Montafon and achieved 53rd place. In January 2016 he won his first World Cup points with the 24th place at Watles . After finishing 36th twice at the beginning of the 2016/17 season in Val Thorens , he surprisingly achieved his first World Cup victory on December 13, 2016 in Arosa .
