Romain Duguet (born October 7, 1980 in Reims ; from Trubschachen since 2012 ) is a French-Swiss show jumper .

Duguet won his first awards as a show jumper at the age of 10. He celebrated his first major success in 1998 when he won his first international tournament in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges . Then he rode as a professional in Jean-Michel Gaspard's stable . In 2003 Duguet moved to Switzerland and worked in the farm of Max Hauri , who had participated in the 1970 Olympic Games. In the following years he took part in increasingly demanding tournaments and in 2008 took 376th place in the world rankings.

In 2011 Duguet rode for the first time in the French team at a Nations Cup, at the CSIO *** in Sopot the team achieved 2nd place thanks to two faultless rounds by Duguet.

In 2012 he decided not to take part in the Nations Cup for France because he received Swiss citizenship in autumn and has started for Switzerland since 2013, for the first time at the CSI Offenburg . At the Swiss Nations Cup tournament in St. Gallen , he took part in a 5-star tournament for the first time and also won the opening test. In 2015 he was able to win the main test of the CSIO Switzerland, the Swiss Grand Prix with his horse Quorida de Treho. In October 2015 he achieved his first victory in a World Cup with Quorida de Treho in Helsinki . In addition, he qualified for the first time this winter for the World Cup final , which he finished in 16th place with Quorida de Treho . The readers of the Swiss specialist magazine Pferdewoche voted Quorida de Treho as Jumper of the Year 2015.

In June and July 2016, Duguet was part of a Swiss Nations Cup team three times. With Quorida de Treho he was selected for the 2016 Summer Olympics . Here he came in sixth place with the team and 32nd in the individual.

In the World Cup season 2016/2017 started Romain Duguet with a victory in Helsinki and a second place in Lyon. He qualified for the 2017 World Cup final in Omaha, where he made no mistakes in all four rounds with the 10-year-old mare Twentytwo des Biches and thus came in second. With the mare he was also part of the Swiss team, which again won the bronze medal at the 2017 European Championships . In the individual it was enough for the 25th place.
