Roman Bichler

Roman Bichler (born December 7, 1972 ) is a German-Austrian music producer (Lennart Music), composer and musician, mainly keyboardist, guitarist and bassist. Until 2001 he used the artist pseudonym Ian John Hudson . Since then he has been using the aliases Spif Anderson and Lennart . He lives in Munich .

Roman Bichler was a founding member of the progressive rock band Surface Tension in 1988 , where he first worked as a bassist under the stage name IJ (Ian John) Hudson and from 1992, after Stefan Koglek (now Color Haze ) left the band, then as a front man until 1995 played. During this period the band released three albums. He then played under the same pseudonym for the Britpopformation Judas until it was dissolved in 1997 .

In 1997 he started working as a sound engineer and arranger in Uli Eisner's studio . Together with the guitarist Thomas M. Mayer, he then produced various Munich artists in various studios until 2001, still under the pseudonym Ian John Hudson . From 2001 to 2005, Bichler worked as a production manager at Welt der Wunder . Also in 2001 he started his Lennart project and has so far produced and published several albums, his own projects and other artists. From 2005 to 2009 he worked as a songwriter and producer at Phase III and was responsible for most of the instrumental work. The song Funeral March from the band's album Es wird Dunkel developed into a club hit in the black scene .

Together with Stefan Fenzel he played in the synth-electro-pop project Suicide Booth since April 2007 , which is supported by various singers. In 2009 the musician and music journalist Daniel Dreßler replaced Fenzel in the project. The album Terror From The Sky reached number 3 in the German Alternative Charts (DAC).

In the spring of 2008 he began work on a concept album, which was to be musically and stylistically based on the Desperado album by the American rock band Eagles and the text was to refer to the novella Himmelsturm by Munich's Stefan Brinkmann . While looking for a singer, he came across Patrick Ganster, with whom he has since worked as a duo under the name Lennart vs. PatrickGanster plays together. In 2008 Lennart was the main producer of the Amnesty International sponsored art project Toni Jo Henry , a musical drama about the suffering behind a death sentence.
