Lennart vs. PatrickGanster is a German rock music duo from Munich .
history
"Lennart", whose real name is Roman Bichler and is also known under his artist pseudonym "Spif Anderson", began to work on a concept album in spring 2008 , for which he was looking for a suitable singer. He came across musician and songwriter friend Patrick Ganster, singer of the jazz band Jassic Park and frontman of the rock band Naked .
In January 2009 the album was released with the title The Golden Cage . Lyrically they were inspired by the novel Der Himmelsturm by the poet Stefan Brinkmann , musically by the style of the Desperado album by the Eagles . In the texts, the basic themes of the Himmelsturm story set in antiquity were transferred to the present. The duo was supported in the studio recordings by Patrick Hiller ( Phase III ) and Mark Fugmann ( Münchner Zwietracht ) as well as a number of other studio musicians and background singers . This was followed by appearances in Munich clubs and venues such as the theater… and so fort and the Circus Krone , as well as at festivals such as the Streetlife Festival or the StuStaCulum , as well as in other Bavarian cities.
Due to various other music projects of the two musicians, the work on the second album What A Wonderful World lasted five years. It was released in spring 2014. Uli Eisner , who was also involved in the production of the first album, helped them to manage the lead vocals and mastering . In addition to background singers, studio musicians were also used for the recordings, including Norbert Bürger from the Bürger Kreitmeier Orchestra and saxophonist Steve Hooks . The album title and the covered first song What a Wonderful World Part I are based on the title What a Wonderful World, written by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss .
