Roman Foissner

Roman Foissner (born November 5, 1924 in Hohenfurth ) is an Austrian religious priest and cultural worker .

Live and act

Foissner joined the Reichersberg Abbey in 1946 and was ordained a priest in 1951 . In 1957 he was the founder of the Reichersberg Music Summer and organized more than a thousand concerts for the Reichersberg cultural area. For many years he was rentmaster and head of the Reichersberg Abbey Education Center , was also entrusted with the restoration and adaptation of the premises of the Reichersberg Abbey and made special contributions to the Upper Austrian Provincial Exhibition 900 Years of Reichersberg Abbey - Augustinian Canons between Passau and Salzburg in 1984.
