Roman Stanislas Theodor von Polczynski-Janta Polish: Roman Teodor Stanisław Janta-Połczyński , (born March 27, 1849 in Groß Komorze , † September 30, 1916 in Sopot ) was a manor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Janta-Polczynski attended the secondary school in Poznan from 1859 to 1868. In the years 1868 to 1870 he made musical studies (theory and composition). From 1870 he was a practical farmer and from 1873 head of his farms in Posen and in 1883 in West Prussia. He traveled to Germany, Austria, Poland and Italy, from where he wrote several things about art and music. He also wrote piano and song compositions with Polish lyrics, which enjoy some popularity. He was also head of the Polish agricultural farmers' associations in the Wongrowitz district .

From 1890 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Gdansk District 4 ( Neustadt (Westpr.) , Putzig , Karthaus ) and the Polish parliamentary group .
