Romeo M. ACOP is a former General of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and politicians of the Liberal Party , which since 2010 Member of the House of Representatives is.

Life

After attending school in 1965, Acop graduated with the support of a scholarship to study engineering at Saint Louis University (SLU) and on his return began military training at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in Baguio City , which he received in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and eighth best of his year. Member of the House of Representatives

In the elections of 10 May 2010 ACOP was a non-party in the constituency Antipolo City 2nd District first elected as member of the House of Representatives. He became the successor to Angelito Gatlabayan . He was able to prevail with 32,281 votes (31.36 percent) against the candidate of the Liberal Party , Lorenzo Sumulong III , who received 24,907 votes (24.2 percent), and the third-placed, non- party Jestoni Alarcon , with 20,159 votes (19.59 percent) accounted for.

Acop stood in the following elections to the House of Representatives on May 13, 2013 himself for the Liberal Party and with 64,798 votes (56.35 percent) clearly prevailed against Lorenzo Sumulong III, who this time for the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan ( PDP-Laban ) ran and received 38,773 votes (33.72 percent).
