Romuald Lacazette (born January 3, 1994 in Paris ) is a French football player .

career

Beginnings in France

Lacazette started playing football for Paris FC in 2001. After a stopover at the Center de Formation de Football de Paris , he played in the youth department of Paris Saint-Germain from 2007 . He was also part of the French national team in the U16 and U18 age groups . For the U16 he appeared in nine friendlies and scored one goal, in the U18 he was used twice. In 2012/13 he played six times for PSG in the NextGen Series . In the summer of 2013 he was promoted to PSG's CFA team, having already been part of the squad in two unattended games last year. In the following two seasons he was used 23 times. In the spring of 2015, he was twice on the bench for the first team in Ligue 1 , but was not used.

Between Munich and Darmstadt

After he had not received a new contract in Paris, he completed a trial training at TSV 1860 Munich . On July 18, 2015, he signed a contract with the German second division team until 2017. He was initially substituted in three test matches. In the cup game against TSG Hoffenheim , he was part of the 18-man squad, but was not used. In the following time he was no longer nominated. In August he played twice for the U21s in the Regionalliga Bayern and scored one goal in both games - his first goals in adult football. At the end of the month he injured himself in training and with a partial rupture of the syndesmosis ligament in his ankle, he fell out for several months. In mid-November he was used again in the second team. In December he was part of the squad for all professional games, but he was only used in the last game of the year. On December 20, 2015, he was on the starting line-up for the away game in Freiburg , making his debut in professional football. After the relegation of TSV in the 2016/17 season and the subsequent crash in the fourth-class Bavarian regional league , he left the club.

For the 2017/18 season , Lacazette joined the Bundesliga relegated SV Darmstadt 98 , with whom he received a contract until June 30, 2020. There he could not assert himself and was only used 3 times in the 2nd Bundesliga.

At the end of August 2018, Lacazette returned to TSV 1860 Munich on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season, which had been promoted to the third division in the previous season . Under the head coach Daniel Bierofka , he could not prevail and was only used in 11 third division games (6 times in the starting line-up). In addition, he played once in the second team in the fifth-class Bayernliga Süd .

After the loan ended, Lacazette did not return to Darmstadt; he agreed with the club to terminate the contract.

Lacazette is a cousin of the soccer player Alexandre Lacazette .
