Romuald Désiré Peiser (born August 3, 1979 in Phalsbourg ) is a former French football goalkeeper .

After his active career, Peiser worked as a goalkeeping coach at Sacramento Republic .

Romuald Peiser, of the Lorraine Phalsbourg (dt. Pfalzburg was born), played in the Youth for Paris Saint-Germain . From 1995 he also played in reserve.

In 1998 Peiser took the plunge abroad and signed on to the reserve team of German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen . With the second team he played in the then third-class regional league . He made his debut for Leverkusen on August 2, 1998, when he was used on the first day of play against SpVgg Erkenschwick . He came to a total of 24 missions. In the following season he came to 35 missions. However, you rose to the end of the 1999/00 season in the league .

For the 2001/02 season Peiser moved back to the regional league and hired at KFC Uerdingen 05 . Peiser made his debut for the Krefeld district club on December 2, 2001, when he played against SC Fortuna Köln on matchday 19 . By the end of the season, however, Peiser had only made six appearances.

After an interlude at the Liechtenstein club FC Vaduz , Peiser returned to his French homeland in 2003 and joined the lower-class club Poissy AS . After another year Peiser moved to the second division club ES Troyes AC .

After two years he went to FC Gueugnon . After relegation from Ligue 2 in 2008, Peiser left his French homeland again and went to Portugal. At Naval 1º de Maio , Peiser found a new club. In 2010 he moved to Academica Coimbra , where he was a regular goalkeeper for years.

On July 9, 2014, he moved to Ottawa Fury in the North American North American Soccer League. In the 2015 season he broke several league records with Ottawa. So he stayed 648 minutes or six games in a row and in 14 games without conceding a goal and was awarded the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper in the league at the end of the season. After the 2016 season, he left the Fury.

In the 2017 season he played for the San Francisco Deltas in the North American Soccer League. In the only season the Deltas played so far, he was in goal in all but one game and was able to win the play-offs with the team. After San Francisco could no longer compete in 2018 due to the suspension of the league by the NASL, Peiser switched to Penn FC in the United Soccer League .

At the end of the season he ended his career as a player.
