Romy (singer)
Romy (born July 27, 1989 as Romana Dadlhuber ) is a German folk pop singer .
Life
Romana Dadlhuber (later: Romy) was born on July 27, 1989, the only child of Helmut and Gerti Dadlhuber. At the age of six, the Austrian composer Hanneliese Kreißl-Wurth discovered Dadlhuber's musical abilities at a kindergarten anniversary celebration. In the same year she had her first stage appearance at the Musikantenparade in Pocking , and soon followed the first TV appearance at the “ Fröhlichen Zeiten ” ( SWR ) in Europa-Park in a duet with Helga Gruber . In 2001 she and Frank Petersen recorded the title “Just like you” and both became winners of the “ Schlagerparade der Volksmusik ” on ARDchosen. After receiving further awards, Dadlhuber used the great opportunity to prove himself as a co-moderator at the “ Herbert Roth Gala” and the “ Wernesgrüner Musikantenschenke ” (both MDR ).
Her big breakthrough came with her subsequent big hit "I am a Bavarian Girl".
On the occasion of the release of the fourth solo album 10 Years of Stage , Romana Dadlhuber chose "Romy" as her stage name.
Furthermore, Romy took part twice in the German preliminary round for the “ Grand Prix of Folk Music ” (ZDF) and was also a guest at the “ Musikantenstadl ” ( ORF , ARD, SF ).
In 2005 Romy took over the co-moderation of the "Wernesgrüner Musikantenschenke - On the way in Slovenia".
After graduating from high school in 2009, Romy studied communication science in Salzburg .
Since November 2014 Romy has her own TV show "Romys Welt" on TRP1 . She later switched to Donau TV , now Niederbayern TV .
In 2020 the artist will celebrate her 25th stage anniversary.
