Ron Carlson (* probably after 1960 in Placerville , California ) is an American film producer , film actor and screenwriter .

biography

Ron Carlson, who was born and raised in the small town of Placerville, graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in painting from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He then moved to New York City , where he continued to pursue his passion for art. After Carlson moved to Los Angeles , he first made a name for himself in the television series Beverly Hills, 90210 and Tales from the Crypt , in which he was an actor in 1994. This was followed by other roles as an actor in the following years, before he appeared as a producer of the ESPY Awards in 2002 , which continued into 2006. For his short film I Am My Resume , directed in 2003 , he appeared for the first time as a screenwriter and director in addition to his work as a producer. For the 2009 comedy film Tom Cool with Mila Kunis and Clifton Collins junior , Carlson worked as director, screenwriter and producer, as well as for the Christmas film All American Christmas Carol , which was released on DVD in 2013 , the content of which can be freely adapted to Charles in terms of the Christmas spirits Dickens' Christmas story borrows from it. The action horror sci-fi film Unnatural , released in 2015, was produced, scripted, and cast by Carlson. The theme of the film is global climate change, which is causing a scientific company to genetically modify polar bears from Alaska, with devastating consequences. The 2017 comedic adventure horror film Dead Ant was directed by Carlson and co-wrote the script with Hank Braxtan and Dan Sinclair. The film is about the glam metal band Sonic Grave, who landed a one-hit wonder in 1989 and want to travel to the festival in Coachella in the hope of a comeback . During a stopover in Joshua Tree, the musicians are attacked and have to "rock" themselves out of the danger zone. Tom Arnold , Sean Astin and Leisha Hailey play the leading roles .

Ron Carlson has been dating actress Selma Blair since 2015 . Blair has a son from a relationship with fashion designer Jason Bleick, Carlson has a daughter.
