Ronny Meyer (* 1976 in Bremerhaven ) is a German physicist and State Councilor from Bremen .

biography

Meyer studied physics at the University of Oldenburg . From 2004 to 2008 he was project manager for research and development at the wind and solar power forecast service provider energy & meteo systems in Oldenburg . From 2008 to 2010 he worked for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in the energy industry with a focus on renewable energies. There he managed projects to integrate wind energy into the power grid. From 2010 to 2015, Meyer was managing director of the Wind Energy Agency Bremen / Bremerhaven (WAB) in Bremerhaven, a leading company network for wind energy in the north-west region.

From September 2015 Meyer ( Greens ) was State Councilor for the Environment and Central Affairs with the Senator for Environment, Building and Transport Joachim Lohse (Greens) and since 2019 State Councilor for the Senator for Climate Protection, Environment, Mobility, Urban Development and Housing Maike Schaefer .

As a State Councilor, he is a member of the supervisory bodies of the Bremer Energiekonsensgesellschaft , Hanse Vermögensverwaltungsgesellschaft and the Hanseatische Naturentwicklungsgesellschaft .
