Rosa Gföller

Rosa Gföller (born June 30, 1921 in Kirchberg in Tirol ; † December 12, 2001 in Rum ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and civil servant. She was a member of the Federal Council from 1975 to 1989 .

education and profession

Gföller attended elementary school from 1927 to 1931 and then attended secondary school from 1932 to 1936. After graduating from commercial school , she passed the state stenotypist examination in 1948 . In 1958 she entered the judicial service, where in 1960 she passed the official high school diploma and in 1965 the judicial officer in inheritance, guardianship and guardianship matters and in 1975 the judicial officer in non-contentious matters . She was appointed office director in 1983 and government councilor in 1986, before retiring in 1986.

Politics and functions

Gföller was a union member and worked as a staff representative in the provisional staff council and as a member of the service committee of the Innsbruck District Court . She was also a member of the regional women’s committee of the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB) in Tyrol and was also active as a deputy chairman of the Justice Section of the ÖGB. She was active within the party from 1970 to 1980 as the regional leader of the Austrian women's movement of the ÖVP Tyrol and represented the ÖVP in the municipal council of the regional capital Innsbruck from 1971 to 1977 . Furthermore, she represented the ÖVP Tirol from July 1, 1975 to April 3, 1989 in the Austrian Federal Council. From 1972 to 1995 she was also the regional director of disaster relief for Austrian women for Tyrol and was active as the regional director of the Tyrolean social service and federal deputy chairman of the Austrian welfare service. From 1980 to 1983 she was a member of the technical committee at the Innsbruck Higher Regional Court.
