Rosa Rodríguez

Rosa Rodríguez ( Rosa Andreína Rodríguez Pargas; born July 2, 1986 in Acarigua ) is a Venezuelan hammer thrower .

In 2005 she won bronze at the South American Athletics Championships in Cali . At the 2007 World Athletics Championships in Osaka, she was eliminated in qualifying, and at the Ibero-American Championships in 2008, she won bronze.

In 2009 she won silver at the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships, but failed again in the preliminary round at the World Championships in Berlin .

In 2010, bronze at the Ibero-American Championships and silver at the Central American and Caribbean Games followed . The following year, she won bronze at the South American Championships in Buenos Aires in 2011 and silver at the Central American and Caribbean Championships and was eighth at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara .

In 2012 she won the Ibero-American Championships, but did not get past the first round at the Olympic Games in London . In 2013 she won the South American Championships in Cartagena and was eliminated from the qualification at the World Cup in Moscow .

In 2015 she won the Pan American Games in Toronto .

On May 16, 2013, she set the current Venezuelan record in Barquisimeto with 73.64 m. In November 2017 she won the gold medal in hammer throw at the Juegos Bolivarianos in Santa Marta with 66.31 m.
