Rosenstein is a nature reserve in the area of the Baden-Württemberg town of Heubach in the Ostalb district .

Characteristics

The area was designated as a nature reserve by ordinance of the Stuttgart Regional Council of January 30, 1981 and has a size of 22.0 hectares. It is listed under the protected area number 1.086. The CDDA code for the nature reserve is 82440 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .

location

The protected area is located around 500 meters southwest of the Lautern district of Heubach , on the eastern slope of the Rosenstein . It is located in the 2,533 hectare FFH area No. 7224-342 Albtrauf Donzdorf - Heubach as well as in the bird sanctuary (SPA area) Albtrauf Heubach and is almost completely enclosed by the 2,887 hectare landscape conservation area Kaltes Feld to Rosenstein .

The NSG Rosenstein is located in the natural area 096- Albuch and Härtsfeld within the natural spatial main unit 09- Swabian Alb .

Protection purpose

The protection purpose is the preservation of the eastern rock on the Rosenstein, a prominent rock on the eaves of the Ostalb, as well as the preservation and promotion of the rare plant and animal communities that occur in abundance here, as well as the creation of a regeneration area for particularly threatened animal species.
