Roseville is a village ( Village ) in Muskingum County and Perry County in the US state of Ohio . The village is about 70 km from the western federal capital Columbus and lies on Moxahala Creek , a tributary of the Muskingum River .

At the time of the census in 2000 there were 1936 inhabitants in the village. More than 98% of them were white . The per capita income was $ 24,706, with about 27% of the population living below the poverty line .
history
Although the place had just over 500 inhabitants at the end of the 19th century, Roseville had its own newspaper, three mills and five churches. Some buildings have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places .
The place lived mainly from several potteries that existed from the turn of the century to beyond the Second World War. Roseville is home to a branch of the Muskingum County Public Library, which is affiliated with the Muskingum County Library System .
