Roswitha Lüder

Roswitha Lüder (* 19th August 1935 in Langenberg ) is a German painter of the informal .

biography

Roswitha Lüder began her studies in 1954 at the textile engineering school in Krefeld , which she continued in 1955 at the Werkkunstschule Wuppertal . In 1957 she married the painter Rudolf Vombek , with whom she lived and worked in Herdecke until his death in 2008. Roswitha Lüder is considered to be an important painter of German Art Informel from the 1960s to the 1980s.

Roswitha Lüder is a former member of the German Association of Artists and the West German Association of Artists as well as a founding member of the International Association of Women Artists (IntAkt), Vienna. From 1982 to 1984 she held a teaching position at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences . She lives and works in Herdecke. From 1996 to 2008 she also had a second studio in Langeland (Denmark), and in 2009 a guest studio at the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris . Since 1963, lead glass windows and natural stone mosaic walls designed by her have been in public and sacred spaces.
