Diana Iljine (born September 13, 1964 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German communication scientist . Since August 2011 she has been managing director of the International Munich Film Weeks GmbH and director of the Munich Film Festival and the Munich International Festival of Film Schools .

Life

Iljine studied communication science in Munich and worked during her studies as a unit manager and production assistant in various film and television productions. She wrote her master's thesis on the film producer Bernd Eichinger, who died in 2011 . This resulted in the book “Der Produzent” in 1997, which became a standard work.

After graduating, Iljine worked in today 's newsroom at ZDF in Mainz . In 1991 she received a research grant for the Carat-Espace media academy in Paris.

Then she was assistant to the program director and film editor in program planning at Premiere (now Sky ) in Hamburg under the direction of Rudolf Klausnitzer . At the end of 1993, she went to RTL II as a program buyer for feature films, series and cartoons . A year later she became Head of Program Purchasing under the direction of Christoph Mainusch and Gerhard Zeiler . From 1997 to 2002 she was at Deutsche Telekom under Dr. Thorsten Kreindl works as content manager for the development of the digital TV area. She then built up the central program purchasing department for Bayerischer Rundfunk on behalf of Telepool and managed it.

Since February 2008 she has been working as a freelance consultant in the media sector. In 2011 she finished her second degree, an economics degree / MBA at the Steinbeis University in Berlin .

Since August 2011 she has been the director of the Munich Film Festival and the Munich International Festival of Film Schools . Iljine gained experience at the film festival beforehand, as she worked as a student for over ten years in the areas of press and guest organization.

Iljine is also a member of the board of trustees for young German film .

Awards

In 2016 Diana Iljine was awarded the Bavarian Europe Medal . The Europe Medal has been awarded since 1990 to personalities who have made many contributions to promoting the idea of ​​Europe in Bavaria and Bavaria in Europe. In 2016 she also received the Leadership Award from the EU Business School .
