The Rot is a right tributary of the Wurzacher Ach and is 11.9 km long. It rises south of Bremberg , a suburb of the municipality of Kißlegg in Baden-Württemberg . Shortly after the source, it forms the Roter Weiher . Their course always leads north. The Rot flows under the Allgäu Railway and shortly thereafter takes on the outflow of the Ellrazhofer Weiher . To the northwest of Diepoldshofen , a district of the city of Leutkirch , the stream flows into the Wurzacher Ach. The red is almost entirely straightened. On its way, it mostly crosses farmland or meadows that extend to the river bank. There is only intact bank vegetation in the section of the river in front of the mouth and at the Roter Weiher .
