The Rote Spitze is a 2130  m high mountain in the Vilsalpsee Mountains group of the Allgäu Alps in Tyrol . It is in front of the ridge and thus rises in the middle of the round of the summit framing of Alpl and Traualpsee .

From the north and west, the Rote Spitze appears as a typical Allgäu steep grass summit with several rock breaks, while from the southwest it appears as an isolated, towering and peculiarly sloping peak. A nonetheless easy ascent, which is also possible from the Landsberger Hütte and from the Saalfelder Weg with little expenditure of time, is made possible by the less steep terrain on the southeast side.

The neighboring peaks of the Rote Spitze are Steinkarspitze and Geierköpfle .
