Rote Tengah ( German Zentralroti ) is an Indonesian district ( Kecamatan ) in the administrative district of Rote Ndao (province of East Nusa Tenggara ). The main town is Fe'opopi ( Feapopi ) in the north of Rote Tengah. 8,058 people live in the district.

Rote Tengah is located on the north coast of the center of Roti Island . It is divided into seven villages:
- Lidabesi (2010: 924 inhabitants)
- Lidamanu (549)
- Limakoli (908)
- Maubesi (1,509)
- Nggodimeda (1,279)
- Onatali (1,411)
- Suebela (1,478)
fauna
The district is one of the areas where the last specimens of the Chelodina mccordi mccordi , a subspecies of the McCord's snake-necked tortoise, can be found . They live in Lakes Peto and Toea . Here, too, the turtle is on the verge of extinction due to illegal animal trade and loss of habitat.
