The Rothenuffler Berg is around 245 m above sea level. NN high mountain in the Wiehen Mountains in the Westphalian district of Minden-Lübbecke . It lies on the border between the municipality of Hille and the city of Bad Oeynhausen , which runs along the ridge here. The peak itself is in the area of the city of Bad Oeynhausen.

Like almost all mountains in the Wiehengebirge, the Rothenuffler Berg has an elongated ridge peak (Egge) and is only separated from the peaks to the west by Dören . The mountain is nevertheless perceived as a distinctive summit, as the adjoining drought 700 meters west of the mountain, the pass near or in Bergkirchen , is very pronounced. Beyond the pass is the Bergkirchener Kopf . Both mountains form the flanking heights for the mountain pass. The Rothenuffler Berg also represents the western cornerstone of the closed, almost 10 km long and between 0.5 and 2.2 km wide forest belt from the breakthrough of the Porta Westfalica to this point, because the pass near Bergkirchen is free of forest for a short section. The eponymous village of Rothenuffeln is 2.5 kilometers north of the mountain .
