Rotreiß is the field name of an elevation on the Swabian Alb on the western edge of the district of Ittenhausen , a suburb of Langenenslingen in the Biberach district . There is the 800.8  m above sea level. NHN highest elevation in the district.

location

North of Rotreiß, highway 275 runs from Ittenhausen to Gammertingen via the hamlet of Pistre . South of the Rotreises from the running Sigmaringen district next county road 8201 ( Sigmaringer side ) and K7550 ( Biberach page ). The most western end of the conservation area, lying Riedlinger Alb corridor adjacent to the Upper Danube Nature Park .

The elevation, which towers above the immediate surroundings in the east by up to 50 meters, is located in the forest belt on the western edge of the Ittenhausen district to that of Inneringen , which belongs to the city of Hettingen in the neighboring district of Sigmaringen . At the edge of a tiny clearing on the top of the forest, which does not offer a view, there is a water reservoir. To the west, a slightly prominent ridge with a fairly uniform ridge height continues over the forest and then fields far into the Inneringer area.
