Rubenilson dos Santos da Rocha , called " Canoe " (born September 23, 1987 in Salvador da Bahia ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

The fast midfielder Kanu started his career at his hometown club Gremio Barueri , from where he was loaned out to CA Juventus from February to May .

His career made a leap when Grêmio Barueri loaned him to the top Belgian club RSC Anderlecht from August to December . The previously agreed purchase option was then used. In the meantime, Kanu had been loaned to league competitor Cercle Bruges . After his contract ended, he moved to Terek Grozny in Russia in 2013 . He played there for three years and then joined the Thai club Buriram United in 2016 . There, however, he was only used in a cup game.

Further positions followed at Omonia Nicosia , KV Kortrijk and, most recently, al-Raed . Since September 2019 Kanu has no new club.
