Rudi Beiser

Rudi Beiser (born January 8, 1960 in Schuttern ) is a German non-fiction author, journalist and lecturer. His works mainly deal with the cultivation, the effects and the history of customs of medicinal herbs and edible wild plants .

Life

Between 1983 and 1996 Rudi Beiser ran a health food store in Oberkirch .

In 1993 he founded the La Luna Herbal Manufactory - a one-man business in which he produced and marketed Demeter- approved organic herbal teas for 20 years until the end of 2013 . He attached particular importance to the avoidance of machine processing, the exact sowing and harvesting time of the plants, the production of whole leaf products and gentle drying in order to ideally preserve the valuable aromas.

He has been passing on his experience in the field of medicinal plants and wild herbs since 2000 as a lecturer at various plant and adult education centers. At the Freiburg Medicinal Plant School he teaches basic phytotherapy training and gives various specialist seminars.

Since 2012 Rudi Beiser has mainly worked as a book author . His previous works have been published by Ulmer , Kosmos , Trias and AT publishers . Many of these books have been translated into numerous languages.

Rudi Beiser has two children, is married and lives with his wife in Friesenheim-Schuttern ( South Baden ).
