Rudolf Adam Abich
Rudolf Adam Abich (* 1738 in Osterode , † 15. October 1809 in Schöningen ) was a Herzoglich Braunschweigischer Bergrat .
Life
Rudolf Adam Abich was a Brunswick mountain official . He worked as Obersalzinspektor and was tenant of the Schöningen saltworks until 1806 . During this time Abich was made a mountain ridge and lived in the director's house he built on the saline property.
In 1792 he became an extraordinary member of the Society of Friends of Natural Sciences in Berlin .
His son Heinrich Carl Wilhelm Abich was married to Johanna Wilhelmine, nee Klaproth, the daughter of the chemist Martin Heinrich Klaproth . The mineralogist, geologist and explorer Hermann von Abich was his grandson.
